چکیده

It is important to study elliptic flow coefficient (v2) to search for the possible formation of Quark-Gluon Plasma. The variation of elliptic flow coefficient with centrality were studied using events generated by AMPT (Default) for Au+Au collisions at center of mass energies of 62.4 and 200 GeV. This work also includes the study of variation of the ratio of v2 for 200 GeV to v2 for 62.4 GeV, with centrality. We compared the simulated data results with PHENIX experimental results and found close agreement between them. The whole study was performed for inclusive charged hadrons for most central and mid-peripheral Au+Au collisions in the transverse momentum range from 0.2 to 1.0 GeV/c and pseudo rapidity range from (-) 0.35 to (+) 0.35 (parameter similar to the PHENIX experimental setup). The study of the variation of the ratio of v2 for 200 GeV to v2 for 62.4 GeV was parameterized by fitting. We proposed a new formula to know the expected value of v2 for 200 GeV at particular centrality, provided v2 for 62.4 GeV is known and vice versa. Similarly, we can know the value of the ratio v2 for 200 GeV to v2 for 62.4 GeV at particular centrality.

Rapidity dependent momentum anisotropy at RHIC

In Au+Au collisions at RHIC, elliptic flow was found to rapidly decrease as a function of rapidity. We argue that the origin of this phenomenon is incomplete thermalization of the initial fireball outside the midrapidity region and show that it can be quantitatively related to the analogous effect at midrapidity in peripheral collisions and in collisions at lower beam energies.

INDRA@GSI : Collective Flow in Au+Au Collisions

Directed flow for the Au + Au reactions at incident energies between 40 and 150 AMeV has been measured using the 4π multi-detector INDRA at the GSI facility. Measuring the collective flow observables is of continuous interest mainly due to their presumed link to the nuclear matter equation of state, momentum dependence of nuclear interactions, as well as to the in-medium nucleonnucleon cross se...

Differential Flow of Protons in Au + Au Collisions at AGS Energies

We study the proton sideward and elliptic differential flow for Au+Au collisions at AGS energies (2 – 8 A·GeV) in a microscopic relativistic transport model that includes all baryon resonances up to a mass of 2 GeV as well as string degrees of freedom for the higher hadronic excitations. In order to explore the sensitivity of the various differential flows to the nuclear equation of state (EoS)...
